Today’s Santa Ynez Valley Real Estate Caravan:There’s A Lot to Be Said About The Approach

Today’s Santa Ynez Valley Realtor’s caravan included two properties….an in-town 1/2 acre on one hand, and a 250 acre, Santa Maria vineyard/ranch on the other. Both of these properties represented some interesting challenges by their approaches and both have the potential of making those challenges worthwhile.

On The One Hand…..720 Elsinore…..$599,000

This is a very nicely finished, seemingly comfortable family home on about 1/2 acre in a mature Solvang neighborhood off Chalk Hill. This is a great spot for cyclists and runners. There is a private yard in the back and views from the front. The approach to this home is up a reasonable steep driveway, which leads to a long set of concrete stairs. This takes, or produces, well toned gluts. Actually, the driveway continues well beyond the stairs and offers old folks like me the option of walking into the house on a fairly level surface.

On The Other Hand…..8680 NE Alamo Creek….$2,995,000

For those not intimidated by live stream beds, this 250 ranch/farm is fabulous. There is an established 40 acre vineyard, overlooked by a very cool Australian homestead-style house, stunning BIG VIEWS, privacy, peace and the good life. This property is about 45 minutes from the Santa Ynez Valley, and is approached over three or so live streams. 4 wheel-drive is not an option. But just think about how much more special this becomes. Check out the photos in this listing.
