Los Olivos 26th Annual Quick Draw Event Happening on August 18, 2012

Los Olivos’ Great, Fun Annual Art Event and Auction

This annual Los Olivos event, held in Lavinia Park (near the flagpole) from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, attracts art enthusiasts and collectors from across the country. Folks actually start gathering in the park about 10:00 am and the artists, 25 this year, are introduced. Starting at 11:00 am, the artists begin working on their pieces, whether oil or watercolor paintings or sculpture, which must be completed in one hour. And then the pieces are auctioned off to folks sitting on hay bales under the trees (see last year’s auction below).

There is live music, barbeque for purchase and a very fun atmosphere. And for art enthusiasts, this is a great event to pick up a fine piece of art, generally at great prices. I need to say, that my home is filled with wonderful art collected over the years at Quick Draw.
